Message from the Founder
Damone Eubank, Director
My name is Damone Eubank, and I am the founder and director of Indiana Blackout Basketball. I started this program with one purpose in mind: to provide young athletes throughout Indianapolis with the opportunity to develop their basketball skills while building the character and life skills that extend far beyond the game.
At Indiana Blackout, we believe basketball is more than wins and losses. It is a platform to teach discipline, accountability, teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, leadership, and perseverance—qualities that help shape successful young men and women both on and off the court.
This mission is personal to me.
Growing up on the east side of Indianapolis in a single-parent household, I experienced firsthand how difficult it could be to access quality athletic opportunities. There were times when playing sports simply wasn’t financially realistic. Through my mother’s sacrifices and the guidance of incredible coaches who invested in me, I was blessed with the opportunity to earn a college basketball scholarship. My two brothers were also able to earn scholarships through the game.
Basketball changed the course of my life.
Because of those experiences, I founded Indiana Blackout Basketball to ensure that young athletes have access to a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment—regardless of their background. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, compete, and chase their dreams.
Today, our commitment goes far beyond basketball. We strive to develop confident athletes, responsible students, and future leaders who will make a positive impact in their schools, families, and communities.
